Exploration Begins in Earnest at Sawai – Frontera

This month Pacha’s lead geologist for Latin America, Dr. Osvaldo Arce was at our orogenic property situated near Tupiza, Bolivia to initiate detailed GPS mapping and surface sampling of this 800ha. concession.

Dr. Arce also met with various community leaders to garner support for the exploration programme as well as officials with the mining regulator AJAM to discuss details of our work plan and compliance issues. In this regard, we also contracted an environmental consultant to undertake a preliminary impact study of the exploration stage of the project.

Dr. Arce collected some 20 samples which have been tabulated and sent to the office of Alex Stewart in Salta, Argentina for assay and analysis.

In the opinion of Dr. Arce the presence of various ruins of ancient dwellings suggests that some of the old workings and adits may be of Incan origin. We can surmise this based on the thickness of the walls being definitively of precolonial construction.
